Strengthen Kentucky Homes Program

grant$10,000

Provides grants up to $10,000 for qualified homeowners to upgrade their roofs to standards set by the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS). This program will help Kentucky homeowners strengthen their roofs to better withstand high wind and hail damage.

FORTIFIED Home Discounts

Requires insurance premium discounts and an optional upgrade endorsement for non-FORTIFIED homes starting for policies issued/renewed on/after Mar 1, 2026.

FORTIFIED Roof Endorsement

Insurers are required to offer an endorsement to a homeowner's policy to upgrade their home to an IBHS FORTIFIED Roof if it is damaged and needs replacing
